Aquesta &eacute;s la llista de les borrasques i les danes que han afectat la pen&iacute;nsula Ib&egrave;rica des de l&rsquo;1 de setembre de l&rsquo;any passat i que ho han fet amb prou impacte com per rebre un nom propi. Despr&eacute;s de Marta, vindran Nils, Oriana, Pedro i altres cinc noms m&eacute;s fins a arribar a la W, l&rsquo;&uacute;ltima lletra de la llista que elabora el Grup Sud-oest europeu, format pels serveis meteorol&ograve;gics de Portugal, Fran&ccedil;a, B&egrave;lgica, Luxemburg, Andorra i Espanya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La temporada 2024-2025 va comen&ccedil;ar amb la borrasca Aitor (el 24 de setembre de 2024) i va acabar amb Oliver (7 d&rsquo;abril de 2025). A la lletra M (de Martinho) s&rsquo;hi va arribar el 18 de mar&ccedil;, per&ograve; enguany Marta ha arribat la primera setmana de febrer. &Eacute;s aviat per saber si en la temporada actual 2025-2026 es batr&agrave; el r&egrave;cord de borrasques i de danes d&rsquo;alt impacte o per aventurar si la llista es quedar&agrave; sense noms. Per&ograve; el que est&agrave; clar &eacute;s que la successi&oacute; de borrasques intenses que est&agrave; llen&ccedil;ant l&rsquo;Atl&agrave;ntic sobre el sud d&rsquo;Europa i el nord d&rsquo;&Agrave;frica &eacute;s excepcional. Despr&eacute;s d&rsquo;un gener amb pluges molt per sobre de l&rsquo;habitual, el pron&ograve;stic no sembla donar treva a les primeres setmanes de febrer. Qu&egrave; est&agrave; causant aquest tren de borrasques carregades d&rsquo;humitat?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>On &eacute;s l&rsquo;anticicl&oacute; de les A&ccedil;ores?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Per entendre per qu&egrave; Espanya i Portugal estan rebent aquest desfilada de borrasques necessitem posar-nos una mica t&egrave;cnics. La situaci&oacute; meteorol&ograve;gica, en aquesta part del m&oacute;n, est&agrave; marcada en gran mesura pel que marca l&rsquo;oscil&middot;laci&oacute; de l&rsquo;Atl&agrave;ntic Nord (NAO, per les seves sigles en angl&egrave;s). Aquest fenomen clim&agrave;tic consisteix en una s&egrave;rie de fluctuacions en la pressi&oacute; atmosf&egrave;rica entre les baixes pressions que solen situar-se sobre Isl&agrave;ndia i les altes de les A&ccedil;ores, m&eacute;s conegut com l&rsquo;anticicl&oacute; de les A&ccedil;ores. La NAO &eacute;s la que controla, en gran mesura, la direcci&oacute; i la for&ccedil;a dels vents que arriben de l&rsquo;oest cap a Europa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quan l&rsquo;anticicl&oacute; est&agrave; fort i situat c&ograve;modament sobre les illes A&ccedil;ores, actua com una mena d&rsquo;escut, desviant les borrasques i els seus fronts carregats de pluja cap al nord. Per&ograve;, en els &uacute;ltims mesos, hem estat en una fase NAO negativa, cosa que significa que l&rsquo;anticicl&oacute; est&agrave; debilitada i es situa m&eacute;s al sud, despla&ccedil;ant la carretera per la qual circulen les borrasques cap a pa&iuml;sos que normalment no reben tants fronts. &ldquo;Entre els que ens dediquem a la meteorologia, diem col&middot;loquialment que tenim les portes de l&rsquo;Atl&agrave;ntic obertes. Tenim una autopista de borrasques amb destinaci&oacute; al nostre pa&iacute;s&rdquo;, explica Isabel Moreno, f&iacute;sica, meteor&ograve;loga i divulgadora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Un riu d&rsquo;humitat i el paper del canvi clim&agrave;tic<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Amb l&rsquo;abs&egrave;ncia de l&rsquo;anticicl&oacute; de les A&ccedil;ores (i els canvis en la NAO) tenim el primer element per entendre la situaci&oacute; excepcional de les &uacute;ltimes setmanes: un cam&iacute; clar que arrossega les baixes pressions de l&rsquo;oest de l&rsquo;Atl&agrave;ntic cap a l&rsquo;est en direcci&oacute; al sud d&rsquo;Europa. Per&ograve; hi ha un altre element clau que est&agrave; carregant d&rsquo;humitat i energia aquestes borrasques, fent-les m&eacute;s actives del normal: un riu d&rsquo;humitat alimentat per un mar Carib amb temperatures molt per sobre de la mitjana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&ldquo;Les borrasques beuen de determinats llocs i un d&rsquo;ells s&oacute;n els rius atmosf&egrave;rics, que tamb&eacute; s&oacute;n com camins pels quals circula la humitat de l&rsquo;<a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Atmosfera&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph {&amp;quot;translatedWithWPMLTM&amp;quot;:&amp;quot;1&amp;quot;} --&amp;gt;L&amp;#039;atmosfera &eacute;s la capa de gasos que envolta un cos celeste, com la Terra, proporcionant aire, regulant el clima i protegint la vida de la radiaci&oacute; solar i els meteorits.&amp;lt;br\/&amp;gt;&amp;lt;!-- \/wp:paragraph --&amp;gt;&lt;\/div&gt;\"  href=\"http:\/\/revistaxq.com\/ca\/glossary\/atmosfera\/\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex='0' role='link'>atmosfera<\/a>&rdquo;, assenyala Isabel Moreno. &ldquo;Durant aquestes dates estem tenint tamb&eacute; un riu d&rsquo;humitat procedent del Carib, que est&agrave; molt calent. Ens est&agrave; afectant una massa d&rsquo;aire que est&agrave; carregada d&rsquo;humitat a un nivell similar al que hi hauria si estigu&eacute;ssim en un pa&iacute;s tropical. Els efectes d&rsquo;aquesta calor acumulada es noten especialment en mars m&eacute;s tancats, com el Carib. D&rsquo;acord amb el Climate Shift Index de Climate Central, les temperatures superficials que ha experimentat el Carib en les &uacute;ltimes setmanes s&oacute;n entre 20 i 800 vegades m&eacute;s probables (en funci&oacute; de la zona) en un context com l&rsquo;actual que en un planeta sense <a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Canvi clim&agrave;tic&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph {&amp;quot;translatedWithWPMLTM&amp;quot;:&amp;quot;1&amp;quot;} --&amp;gt;Escalfament global Augment de la temperatura mitjana de l&amp;#039;atmosfera i els oceans del planeta, provocat per els activitats humanes (especialment la crema de combustibles f&ograve;ssils i la desforestaci&oacute;). Per&ograve; podem anar una mica m&eacute;s enll&agrave; i cercar un tercer factor que est&agrave; afectant la situaci&oacute; meteorol&ograve;gica actual. Hem de mirar cap al v&ograve;rtex polar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&ldquo;El v&ograve;rtex polar &eacute;s una mena de peonya que confina l&rsquo;aire fred al voltant del pol nord. Tot i que est&agrave; a l&rsquo;estratosfera, t&eacute; influ&egrave;ncia en el que passa a la troposfera&rdquo;, explica Isabel Moreno. &ldquo;El v&ograve;rtex polar segueix uns patrons estables i sol anar canviant amb suavitat, per&ograve; porta des de novembre fent coses estranyes, escalfant-se i refredant-se de manera sobtada&rdquo;. Aquests canvis repentinats desestabilitzen el v&ograve;rtex i afecten el <a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Doll polar&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph {&amp;quot;translatedWithWPMLTM&amp;quot;:&amp;quot;1&amp;quot;} --&amp;gt;El doll polar &eacute;s un corrent d&amp;#039;aire fort i estreta en l&amp;#039;atmosfera, situada a gran altitud, que flueix d&amp;#039;oest a est. Per&ograve; aix&ograve; encara no est&agrave; del tot clar&rdquo;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aix&iacute; doncs, per qu&egrave; aquest hivern est&agrave; sent tan humit a Espanya i Portugal? Una situaci&oacute; excepcional en la circulaci&oacute; atmosf&egrave;rica, provocada en part per canvis en la corrent de <a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Doll polar&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;lt;!-- wp:paragraph {&amp;quot;translatedWithWPMLTM&amp;quot;:&amp;quot;1&amp;quot;} --&amp;gt;El doll polar &eacute;s un corrent d&amp;#039;aire fort i estreta en l&amp;#039;atmosfera, situada a gran altitud, que flueix d&amp;#039;oest a est. En aquest recorregut, les baixes pressions es creuen amb un riu carregat d&rsquo;humitat amb origen al Carib, que fa que els fronts que descarreguen sobre el sud d&rsquo;Europa siguin molt m&eacute;s actius.
